Ingredients

4 cups all-purpose flour

1 packet (2 1/4 teaspoons) instant yeast

1/2 cup granulated sugar

1 teaspoon salt

1/2 cup whole milk, warmed to about 110°F (43°C)

1/2 cup water, warmed to about 110°F (43°C)

1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted

2 large eggs, at room temperature

1 tablespoon ground cinnamon

1/4 cup brown sugar, packed

1/4 cup unsalted butter, softened (for the filling)

Cream cheese frosting (for topping)

Instructions

In a large mixing bowl, whisk together 2 cups of flour, instant yeast, granulated sugar, and salt until they are well combined.

In another bowl, combine the warmed milk, warmed water, and melted butter. Add the eggs to this mixture and whisk until smooth and well blended.

Gradually pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients. Stir with a wooden spoon until a shaggy dough starts to form.

Incorporate the remaining flour, one cup at a time, mixing until a soft, slightly sticky dough forms.

Turn the dough out onto a floured surface and knead for 8-10 minutes, until the dough is smooth and elastic.

Place the kneaded dough into a greased bowl, cover it with a clean kitchen towel, and let it rise in a warm, draft-free place for about 1 hour or until it has doubled in size.

Once risen, punch down the dough gently to release some air. Roll the dough out on a floured surface into a rectangle about 16x12 inches in size.

Evenly spread the softened butter for the filling across the entire surface of the dough. Then, in a small bowl, mix the brown sugar and ground cinnamon. Sprinkle this mixture generously over the buttered dough.

Starting from one long edge, roll the dough tightly into a log, ensuring the filling is tucked in as you go. Cut the log into 12 equal pieces to form your rolls.

Arrange the rolls in a greased baking dish, ensuring they are spaced closely together. Cover the dish and allow the rolls to rise again for about 30 minutes.

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Bake the rolls for 25-30 minutes, or until they are beautifully golden brown on top.

Once baked, remove the rolls from the oven and allow them to cool for a few minutes before drizzling cream cheese frosting generously over the warm rolls.

                          Prep Time: 20 mins | Total Time: 2 hrs 30 mins | Servings: 12

                            - Presentation Tips: Serve the cinnamon rolls on a large decorative plate, drizzling the frosting generously across the top. For a finishing touch, sprinkle extra ground cinnamon and consider adding a few edible flowers for a vibrant pop of color!
